Dai’jah Diggs joined the Center for Violence Prevention in July 2021 as a Clinical Research Coordinator I. She coordinates projects that aim to reduce aggression and bullying within the School District of Philadelphia.

After graduating from West Virginia University with a degree in Psychology, Dai’jah gained experience as a Clinical Associate at the Linden’s Center for Autism, providing direct support for the individuals served and collected observational data. While in her graduate program at Montclair State University, Dai’jah held another clinical role as a Clinical Psychology Extern at the Center for Autism and Early Childhood Mental Health. In this role she worked both individually and in co-treatment models with other clinicians to provide individual and family therapy to clients within the surrounding community and school districts.

Most recently, Dai’jah worked in two research laboratories at Montclair State University: The Spatial Developmental Lab and The Institute for Research on Youth Thriving and Evaluation (RYTE Institute). In The Spatial Development Lab, she held the role of Graduate Research Assistant, working primarily on a study focused on the development of spatial abilities in both typically developing children and individuals with Down syndrome.

At the RYTE Institute Dai'jah worked on the BSA BEST Study, interviewing participants and coding qualitative data for the study aims of evaluating the Scouts BSA program and observing how adult leadership impacts the development of youth within the program. Her diverse clinical and research experiences have allowed for her to develop a passion for the integration of science and clinical practice.

Dai’jah’s research interests include how parent-child relations and community factors impact child development and psychopathology, studying the effectiveness and dissemination of evidence-based early intervention for high-risk youth with disruptive behaviors, and delinquency prevention.
