Raquel Richardson, MSW is a Violence Prevention Specialist at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia’s (CHOP) Center for Violence Prevention. Raquel provides intensive, trauma-informed case management to youth and their families following a traumatic experience.
Raquel Richardson, MSW is a Violence Prevention Specialist at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia's (CHOP) Center for Violence Prevention. In her role with the Violence Intervention Program (VIP) team, Raquel provides intensive, trauma-informed case management to youth and their families following a traumatic experience. Prior to joining the Center, Raquel worked with diverse populations including families living in public housing, families experiencing homelessness in a communal setting, children experiencing incarceration of a parent, and children with identified disabilities in a school setting. Raquel is passionate about advocating for youth and families, and intervening when systems disconnect. She takes pride in helping youth and families navigate through resources to promote physical and emotional healing. Raquel’s overall goal is to help resilient individuals turn trauma to triumph.
